With the decline of entries over the last few years is has become increasing more difficult to stage our historic Easter Bank Holiday Point to Point meeting. To this end we have taken the difficult decision to change the format of this year’s event.
Instead, to encourage younger participants for the future and to preserve the date and venue we have agreed to stage what will be called the ‘Lydstep Country Races’.
In its initial year this will comprise of Pony Racing (held under Pony Club rules) incorporating 3 classes (128cm, 138cm, 148cm), 2 Scurry’s and during the mid afternoon break, as a bit of fun, terrier and dog racing which is open to anyone.
All the usual attractions will be available including betting, a bar, several different food offerings and a live band in the evening.
